Former federal immigration Judge Carey Holliday will speak about executive amnesty and its consequences to the Ascension GOP Roundtable, sponsored by Ascension Republican Women, at 6 p.m. Jan. 21 at Carli-Co Café, 1506 N. Airline Highway, Gonzales.
Holliday is a former Louisiana assistant attorney general, administrative law judge and Workers’ Compensation judge. From 2000-04, he was treasurer of the state Republican Party. He recently served as special assistant to the director of the Louisiana Office of Workers’ Compensation for court evaluation and review and has a private immigration law practice in Baton Rouge.
