Registration is underway for the Child Advocacy Services’ fifth annual Blue Run.

The run, set for April 11, starts at 7 a.m. at city hall in Gonzales with a 1-mile run and walk and 5K race.

Blue Run is the signature kickoff event for Child Abuse Prevention Month and an opportunity to educate the community about child abuse and neglect, a news release said.

Registration can be completed online at or by visiting any Child Advocacy Services office in the 10 parishes served by the agency.

Child Advocacy Services provides advocacy through its mission to give voice, healing and security to children in Ascension, Assumption, East and West Feliciana, Livingston, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John and Tangipahoa parishes, the release said.
