Road intersection closing

Parish President Tommy Martinez said this week La. 930 will be closed at its intersection with La 42 in Prairieville beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday and will remain closed until 5 a.m. Nov. 3.

Traffic flow on La. 42 will remain open, he said.

Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development Project Engineer Aaron Elisar said La. 930 will be closed to through traffic at that intersection so crews can install a new sewer system trunk line.

Drivers can bypass the closure by using La. 42 west, to La. 73 south, to U.S. 61 south to Ascension Parish Highway 929. Turn left onto AP 929 and travel east to La. 930, which will be on the left, Elisar said.
