The River Region Art Association aims to share the arts with the community during the hot summer months.
Summer Art Camp, underway at the St. Amant Recreation Park Center, immerses children in a variety of art techniques, from basic drawing skills to experimental approaches to sculpture and mixed-media, a news release said.
The remaining sessions are July 6-10 and July 13-17 at the St. Amant Recreation Center, 45404 String Bridge Road.
Classes include instruction in painting, drawing, mixed media, printmaking, sculpture and decorative art.
The cost is $90 per session and is open to youth ages 6 to 15. All supplies and a daily snack are provided. Space is limited.
Download the registration form at www.riverregionartassociation.org or pick one up at the River Region Art Association Depot Gallery, 1008 W. La. 30, Gonzales.
