St. Amant’s DECA was honored at a recent conference for completing the most chapter campaigns in community service, promotions, global entrepreneurship and membership.

For the fifth year, St. Amant DECA also received Outstanding Advisor and Outstanding Chapter awards.

Students competed in various marketing-related role-plays, presentation, tests and interviews.

Finalists were Paige Wilson, Jordan Hollier, Catherine Carpenter, Saray Gamez, Dylan Stroughter, James Regina and Alicia Braud. The third-place winner was Wilson. Second-place honors went to Krislyn Johnson and Joshua Kling. Picking up first were Alurah Williams and Myles Douglass.

Kling received the Emerging Leader Award.

D.J. Ferguson and Victoria Stewart served the past year as Louisiana DECA state officers. Lillie Pastorick and Stewart were named Louisiana DECA 2016 Southern Region vice president and Louisiana DECA president, respectively.
