Ascension Parish Deputies Daniel Story, Owen Dempsey, Matthew Johnson and Eric Knapps graduated from the Capital Area Regional Training Academy on March 29 during a ceremony at Healing Place Church in Baton Rouge.
“This graduation represents 11 weeks of hard work and resulted in all of these deputies attaining their POST certification,” said Sheriff Jeff Wiley.
Capital Area Regional Training Academy is a product of the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office. There were 48 graduates representing 19 different agencies from across the state. The graduates learned physical training, legal and report writing skills, law enforcement history, and numerous other topics and skills.
