PCS Nitrogen Fertilizer in Geismar recently donated $41,500 to Oak Grove in Prairieville.
PCS representatives Garry Hiebert and Misty Bonfanti visited the school Dec. 9 to present the check.
The money will be used to purchase additional playground equipment for the students, a new release said.
Providing equipment that will accommodate large groups of children during play activities is an ongoing challenge, and the donation will allow Oak Grove Primary students another opportunity to be physically active, the release said.
PCS produces nitrogen and phosphate products for fertilizers and industrial uses.
