The pumpkin patch at New Song United Methodist Church, on the corner of Old Perkins and Bluff roads in Prairieville, will be open from Oct. 5-31. Hours are 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
There will be free hayrides and coloring sheets, and some Saturdays will include free concerts. Pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, as well as various types of gourds from the Navajo Indians in northern New Mexico, will be available for purchase.
Morning field trips for area schools include stickers, storytime, hayrides, crafts, coloring pages and pie-size pumpkins.
All proceeds go to church mission projects.
