September declared as preparedness month _lowres

Ascension Parish President Tommy Martinez has proclaimed September to be National Preparedness Month in Ascension Parish, a news release said.

Parish Council Chairman Randy Clouatre read the proclamation aloud during the Sept. 3 council meeting in Donaldsonville. Ascension Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Director Rick Webre, Operations and Training Section Chief Ami Clouatre and Planning/Intelligence Officer Meredith Conger accepted the proclamation.
