Seven gardens will be open to the public during Saturday’s St. Francisville Spring Stroll, organized by the Feliciana Master Gardeners, whose members will be on hand at each stop to provide information.

Tickets are $15 and will be available at the St. Francisville Town Hall on Saturday. The morning tour, 9:30 a.m. to noon, includes Nydrie, home of Skip and Anne Eichin; Locust Grove, home of John and Sandy Fabre; and the gardens of Julie and Mike Bordelon and Susan and Rucker Leake.

The 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. tour stops are the Leake garden; Wyoming, home of Elaine and Leonard Sullivan; and the gardens of Owen Kemp and Dale and Bridget Plauche.

Saturday art show

Arts for All will have an art show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, with free admission, at Market Hall on Royal Street in St. Francisville.

Dreher signing

Down the street from the art show, Grandmother’s Buttons will feature author Rod Dreher, of St. Francisville, signing copies of his new book, “The Little Way of Ruthie Leming,” from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

In addition to the books, copies of a map of Starhill, designed by London artist Alice Tait for the book, will be on sale, with half of the proceeds going to the Ruthie Leming Scholarship Fund.

Market day

Clinton’s Community Market Day on Saturday morning promises nice spring weather, good food, jellies, jams, jewelry and a stroll around the courthouse square.

Mozart’s music

The St. Francisville Symphony Association’s spring concert featuring Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra musicians begins at 7 p.m. Friday at Grace Episcopal Church. Tickets ($20 each) are available at the Bank of St. Francisville.

Rosedown programs

Rosedown Plantation State Historic Site in St. Francisville has two programs this weekend, beginning with its 10 a.m. “Garden Tour Friday” with a stroll through the historic gardens with horticulturist Patricia Aleshire.

Rosedown celebrates National Tartan Day on Saturday in recognition of the Scottish heritage of the plantation’s original owner, Daniel Turnbull. Rosedown will fly the Turnbull Clan flag, decorate the house with the Turnbull tartan and offer samples of haggis in the kitchen.

Visitors are invited to dress in their own family tartans.

Plant sale

The Jackson Tourist Enhancement Committee is having a plant sale and swap event from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday next to the Subway sandwich shop, with proceeds going to the town’s planned veterans memorial.

Library lunch

Clinton Friends of the Audubon Regional Library will have a spring luncheon at 11:30 a.m. April 11 at the Feliciana Baptist Church Hall. Tickets are available from Friends members sponsoring tables or by calling Carol White at (225) 683-5495.
