The West Feliciana Historical Society’s 41st annual Audubon Pilgrimage begins Friday and continues through Sunday, featuring tours of historic homes, gardens and churches.
The tours begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday and at noon Sunday. The last tour of each day begins at 4:30 p.m.
The tour includes two historic town houses, Hillcroft and Prospect; two early 19th-century plantations, Highland and Woodland; along with Afton Villa gardens, Rosedown and Audubon state historic sites and the Rural Homestead’s demonstrations of pioneer life.
The event includes an antique show and sale at Market Hall and the Masonic Hall from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. all three days, hymn singing at the Methodist Church at 6:30 p.m. Friday, a wine and cheese reception, vintage dancers and a cemetery tour at Grace Episcopal Church at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
“Light up the Night,” a street dance, catered meal and entertainment, will be at 7 p.m. at the West Feliciana Courthouse. Tickets are $40.
Tour tickets ($30) will be available at the historical society’s museum on Ferdinand Street. The tour ticket includes admission to the state sites without an extra charge. More information is available online at http://www.audubonpilgrimage.info.
The Zachary Art and Music Festival, formerly Zfest, begins Saturday night and runs through 5 p.m. Sunday at the Zachary Youth Park, 1650 Mount Pleasant Road, and BREC’s Zachary Community Park, 20055 Old Scenic Highway, featuring a carnival, arts and crafts booths, a variety of music and food.
The hours are 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
The Lane Regional Medical Center Auxiliary will host a “Books Are Fun” Book Fair on Monday and Tuesday in the West Wing Conference Room on the first floor of the hospital from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted. The proceeds will go to Auxiliary projects and scholarships.
The St. Francisville Symphony Association is sponsoring a $1,000 Symphony Scholarship for a graduating senior at West Feliciana High School. Music majors are preferred, but other majors will be considered.

Butler book signing
St. Francisville author Anne Butler and photographer Henry Cancienne’s new book, “Main Streets of Louisiana,” will be released by UL Press at 1 p.m. Friday at the West Feliciana Historical Society’s museum. The book features stories from 33 communities that participate in the state’s Main Street program.
