BAKER — The Baker Fire Department and Heritage Museum are sponsoring a free Lunch and Learn program at noon Wednesday to discuss salt-water intrusion into the aquifier that supplies water to Baker and other areas of East Baton Rouge Parish.

Contractor Hays Town, who has been studying the migration of salt water into the aquifier, will be the guest speaker for the meeting at the Baker Fire Station on Groom Road.

Lunch will be provided, Heritage Museum Director Jean Byers said.

Anyone interested in attending is asked to call (225) 774-1776 or (225) 933-3261 in advance to help the organizers get an accurate head count.
