The monthly Clinton Community Market Day has an added feature on Saturday: East Feliciana Parish Recycle Day, which offers residents an opportunity to turn in their old electronic devices to the Capital Area Corporate Recycling Council.
You can get rid of outdated phones, computers, etc., without harming the environment by dropping them off from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at a collection station on the west side of the courthouse in Clinton.
No major appliances, copiers (toner cartridges are OK), television sets or furniture will be accepted, but nearly all other types of electronics gear will be taken off your hands.
A Main Street Pumpkin Patch, offering children’s pumpkin-decorating activities for $1, face painting and refreshments, will be available in McKnight’s Park, across from the bandstand where Pat DeCuir and Bayou Blasters will play.
Vendors will be on hand for lots of Saturday shopping.
