“Let’s Roll for Scott,” a benefit community carnival for Scott Sanchez, of St. Francisville, will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday at the West Feliciana Sports Park.
Sanchez was injured in a biking accident in January, and his friends are trying to raise money for a state-of-the-art wheelchair and possibly a van.
The organizers promise something for everyone: hot-air balloon rides, gyroscope, bungee jump, inflatable rock wall, carnival games, face painting, silent auction, live music and more.
Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased at the gate or in advance at the Bank of St. Francisville.
The East Feliciana Parish School Board has six buses with blown engines and two other surplus vehicles for sale through sealed bids until 1:30 p.m. Aug. 25.
To check out the vehicles, call Transportation Supervisor Joseph Jones at (225) 683-8277 during business hours.
