Students at Baker High School raised around $1,000 for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation during breast cancer awareness month, teacher Jen Ridgell said.

In a ceremony on Friday at the school, pink dedication balloons were released as part of the ceremony.

The students formed a human pink ribbon logo on the football field to release the balloons dedicated to breast cancer victims.

Student-faculty volleyball games preceded the ceremony, and other fundraising events were held earlier this month.
