CLINTON — A horse show will be held Saturday at the Clinton Covered Arena, 14730 La. 10, by the nonprofit organization that operates the arena.

The gates will open at 7 a.m. for warm-up rides; entries will be accepted at 8 a.m. and the show starts at 9 a.m.

The events include trail, lead line, walk-trot, Western pleasure, gaited pleasure, poles and barrels, and fun classes.

A horse and rider Halloween costume contest also will be held. Entry fees are $5 per event, except for the lead line class, which is $2.

Horse owners must present current negative Coggins papers for each horse. Proper attire is required: shirt, long pants and riding boots.

Admission is free, and concessions will be available. Spectators should bring lawn chairs.
