Three East Feliciana 4-H members competed at the Southeast Region Cookery Contest on April 7 at the Ponchatoula Lions Club.
Garrett Dooley won first place in the ground beef-meal-in-one category with his Western meal-in-one dish.
As a result of his win, Garret will participate in a field trip with other division winners to Covey Rise farms in Husser, where he will tour its vegetable production enterprise and be treated to a meal by the Covey Rise chef.
Garret also received a white ribbon in the egg-main dish category for his quiche.
Grace Bergeron received a red ribbon in the seafood-shrimp category for her shrimp fettuccine dish.
Victoria Dooley received a red ribbon in the poultry category for her chicken enchilada entry.
