Pi was the word of the night at Jackson Elementary School’s STEM event March 14.

Otherwise known as Pi Day, students, teachers and families participated in the third STEM event of the school year by solving circle-related math problems, creating art using circles and engaging in an old-fashioned pie walk, Assistant Principal Jonathan Loveall said.

STEM events at Jackson Elementary are designed to introduce students to opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math.
