Silliman Institute in Clinton held its annual spelling bee Sept. 25 for students in first through seventh grades, resulting in seven first-place winners and seven second-place winners.

Winning spellers in the fourth through seventh grades will be eligible for the Mississippi Association for Independent Schools’ District Spelling Bee scheduled for April 5.

The Silliman students won medals for their efforts.
