Clinton Police Chief Frederick Dunn last week announced his department’s Summer Heat 35 for 35 amnesty program.
Dunn said anyone with an active warrant in Clinton can come to the Clinton Town Hall, 11209 Bank St., Clinton, and possibly get their warrant recalled during the amnesty program.
“If you have any warrants in the town of Clinton, during the program you can pay $35 and a percentage of your fines to be eligible for the amnesty program,” Dunn said.
The balance must be paid within 35 days, the chief said.
“That means after 35 days, if you don’t have your fines paid in full, we are coming to pick you up and bring you to jail,” he said.
The program ends on May 25.
