Quad Area Head Start in Clinton held a Dr. Seuss-themed literacy event for its students Jan. 20.

Teachers selected Dr. Seuss books to read to the prekindergartners or activities based on Dr. Seuss books.

Teacher Kylan Jackson hand-painted red and blue fish based on the book “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish,” while Mildred Sopsher’s classroom was read “Horton Hatches the Eggs.”

Porche Hitchens read from the Dr. Seuss book “The Places You’ll Go.”

Other teachers selected classics like “The Cat in the Hat” to read to the preschoolers.
