Eyeglasses have been added to the list of items being accepted at the Keep East Feliciana Beautiful/Capital Area Corporate Recycling Council collection day.

The council will have a truck near the East Feliciana Courthouse from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 4, to allow residents to safely dispose of old office equipment and miscellaneous electronics.

Electronics that are recyclable include laptops; computer hardware; telephones and telephone systems; cellphones; stereos; networking equipment; processors; telephone and computer cables; toner and ink jet cartridges; DVD/CD players; circuit boards; electronic game systems; digital cameras; and DVRs. There is a $5 fee to recycle fax machines and printers.

Items that are not accepted include televisions, appliances, copiers, furniture, any type of light bulbs, CRT monitors, tapes, floppy discs and CDs.
