Artist Donna Kilbourne will host an open house and art show at Charter Street Studios on La. 10 and College Street from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday in Jackson. Everyone is invited to attend.

The art show and sale will feature Kilbourne’s work, as well as paintings by 15 artists who display their artwork at the studio.

Kilbourne is a resident of Clinton and a founding member of Charter Street Studios, as well as a member of Arts for All in St. Francisville, the Zachary Artists Guild, Associated Women in the Arts in Baton Rouge, Oil Painters of America and the Women Painters of the Southeast.

Kilbourne began painting in the late 1990s. She has studied with numerous artists and has appeared in several art publications.

Recently, one of Kilbourne’s paintings juried into the 46th annual River Road Show at the Secretary of State Archives Building in Baton Rouge. An opening reception for the show will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Two of her paintings also juried into the annual Members Show of Women Painters of the Southeast, which will be held in April in Abingdon, Virginia.
