West Feliciana Hospital will host a Computed Tomography review course on Nov. 16-17 and a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) review course on Nov. 18-19.

The Thomas Institute of Health Professionals two-day courses are designed to provide entry-level and experienced students with comprehensive knowledge of fundamental and advanced principles related to MRI and CT, a news release said.

Students will be taught by leading experts in the field, and these courses can be used to prepare imaging professionals (radiographers, radiation therapists, nuclear medicine technologists and sonographers) to take the Post Primary ARRT MRI Registry.

The courses also satisfy the new requirement of 16 hours of structured education which must be met in order to sit for the ARRT Post-Primary Certification Examinations, the release said.

Both courses will be taught at the West Feliciana Hospital, at 5266 Commerce St., Building B in St. Francisville. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with instructional classes running from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.
