Filming not expected to impact Clinton market
Despite production crews filming in downtown Clinton and around the courthouse square, the next Clinton Community Market will still take place, according to Al O’Brien, vendor coordinator for the market.
“Set crews will still be tearing down on the 6th of June, but as long as we stay around the courthouse, it looks there will be no conflict. If there is any change to this, I will inform you,” O’Brien said.
Filming is expected to end May 30, but weather delays are possible. The next market day is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 6.
Every first Saturday of each month, arts and craft vendors pack the Clinton courthouse square, selling everything from candles and plants to handcrafted jewelry and homegrown produce.
Now in its 17th year, the Clinton market is one of the oldest, continuously held community markets in the state.
There is no charge to set up a booth, but potential vendors must contact O’Brien prior to doing so by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Butch Hooge is the market director.
