Authorities in East Feliciana Parish on Monday arrested two teenage students accused of attempting to rape a girl at a parish school in September.
Jackson police booked Breeon Lee, 18, of Jackson, and Jacobey Johnson, 18, of Clinton, into the East Feliciana Parish Jail on counts of attempted aggravated rape, according to booking documents provided by the East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Officers with the Jackson Police Department were unavailable for comment Wednesday afternoon.
According to affidavits of probable cause for Lee and Johnson, the two students are accused of taking a girl into a band room at a parish school on Sept. 22 and attempting to rape her. Additional details of the incident, including the girl’s age, were not available on Wednesday.
Henderson Lewis Jr., superintendent of the East Feliciana Parish School System, released the following statement regarding the incident: “The East Feliciana Parish School Board is dealing with a matter involving allegations of an inappropriate contact between students at an area school. Our East Feliciana Parish School System employees and administration are cooperating fully with local law enforcement officials’ investigation.”
The statement continued: “There will be no questions, comments or future press releases made in connection with this matter dealing with juveniles.”
