Friends of the Library are hosting a presentation of "Paintings by Heart: The Life and Art of Clementine Hunter, Louisiana Folk Artist" from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28 at Clinton United Methodist Church.

The presentation will be by Nannette Egros, teacher for Gifted and Talented Art students in East Feliciana schools.

The book is by late author Shelby Gilley. Displays will include the painting "Three Kings," a baby quilt depicting Melrose Plantation made by Hunter and signed prints.

A $5 donation is requested. The meal will be Pioneer chicken soup, bread, iced tea, coffee and dessert. RSVP with Susan Thompson at (225) 629-9585.

Dues for 2018 are $10 for an individual and $15 for a family. A lifetime membership is available for $200.
