Father, veteran honored in wreath ceremony _lowres

The late Hiram C. “Tony” Temple Jr. was a husband and father from East Feliciana Parish and veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He was honored by his surviving family during Wreaths Across America on Dec. 12 at the Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary.

The annual event honors veterans and soldiers during a wreath-laying ceremony at cemeteries nationwide.

Temple died in July and was buried at Louisiana National Cemetery.

Relatives gathering at his gravesite included his wife of 45 years, Carol Nicholas Temple, of Jackson; daughter Belinda and her husband, Brad Smith, of Jackson; daughter Margaret and her husband, Ernest Harrell, of Joelton, Tennessee; and son Hiram C. “Sam” Temple III and his wife, Michelle, of Zachary.
