Food barrel pickup
Slaughter businesses, organizations or schools that have a Pack the Pantry food barrel are urged to contact the Zachary Food Pantry to confirm its location.
The Zachary Food Pantry is attempting to locate each barrel in an effort to maintain accurate records and coordinate pickups.
Hunger is a year-round issue, and the food barrels provide a vital resource to those in need throughout the Slaughter and Zachary communities, Reggie Dykes, Zachary Food Pantry director, said.

Parish 2 Parish luncheon
The Better Business Bureau of South Central Louisiana is partnering with the East and West Feliciana Chambers of Commerce for a Parish 2 Parish networking luncheon March 25 at Hemingbough, 10500 Beach Road West, St. Francisville.
Businesses, chamber representatives and parish leaders will be present to provide updates from the parishes and communities.
Registration is 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and includes a self-guided tour of Hemingbough. The program and luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost to attend is $20 per person.

Clinton Town Hall meeting
The East Feliciana Parish Drug and Alcohol Awareness Council and District Attorney Sam D’Aquilla invites you to a community meeting at 6 p.m. March 26 at Clinton Town Hall, 11209 Bank St. (use rear entry).
The purpose of the meeting is for parents and youth to ask questions and get answers from drug council members, medical professionals and law enforcement.

Crosby Youth Camp 5K
Registration is underway for the Crosby Baptist Church 5K and 1-mile fun run/walk set for March 28 race in Crosby, Mississippi.
The event is a fundraiser for the church’s Youth Camp fund.
Residents of East and West Feliciana communities are invited to participate.
The race promises safe and fun routes with prize drawings, grand prizes for first place male and female.
Registration starts at 7 a.m. followed by the race at 8 a.m., which leaves from Crosby Baptist Church, 115 Church St.
To participate, registration fees are: 5K single, $20 per person; 5K family (three or more people), $50 per family; 1-mile fun run, $10 per person; and family rate for both races, $75 per family.
