Dr. Allison Parkman has been named medical director of FASTLane Urgent Care by Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary, a news release said.

She was previously the supervising physician at FASTLane.

Originally from Akron, Ohio, Parkman graduated from the University of Chicago, earned her medical degree from Medical College of Ohio, completed her family medicine residency training at Baton Rouge General and completed urgent care fellowship training at University Hospitals in Cleveland.

She is a board-certified family medicine practitioner with more than seven years of urgent care and family medicine experience and is a member of the American Board of Family Medicine, the release said.

A resident of Zachary, Parkman said she enjoys jogging, playing soccer and tennis, and watching football and basketball in her spare time, as well as volunteering as the superintendent of Christian education at the Way of Holiness Ministries in Jackson.
