The Clinton Friends of the Library will host author and photographer Deborah Burst as the speaker at a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 29 at Courtside Restaurant, Clinton.
Burst's books include "The Magical World of Trees," "Spirits of the Bayou: Sanctuaries, Cemeteries and Hauntings," "Southern Fried & Sanctified: Tales from the Back Deck," "Louisiana's Sacred Places: Churches, Cemeteries and Voodoo" and "Hallowed Halls of Greater New Orleans: Historic Churches, Cathedrals and Sanctuaries."
The meal will include gumbo, salad, French bread and iced tea for $10, with check written to Friends of the Library. The group's officers will provide dessert.
