It’s Homecoming Week at East Feliciana High School, and the 2015 homecoming court, king and queen will be presented during a coronation ceremony from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Early Childhood Learning Center in Clinton.
As a reminder, there will be no school for students Friday, but from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at East Feliciana Middle School, a homecoming parade will be held, and everyone is invited to attend.
The EFHS Tigers are prepping for their game against Dunham on Friday at the East Feliciana Middle School football field, 10410 Plank Road. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, students are invited to the homecoming dance from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Early Learning Center in Clinton.
Council on Aging events
The East Feliciana Parish Council on Aging, 11102 Bank St., in Clinton is open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Most activities for seniors start at 11 a.m.; lunch is served at noon.
East Feliciana Public Transit offers transportation Monday through Friday to East Baton Rouge Parish for the elderly.

Barn Hill Pumpkin Patch
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays during October (through Nov. 4), Barn Hill Preserve, 11342 La. 955, in Ethel will feature its annual Pumpkin Patch.
Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for children ages 2 to 12, and children under 2 are admitted free.
Hay rides, a 2-acre corn maze and hay maze will be featured, along with the selection of a free pumpkin and free Adventure Zoo admission with the purchase of a Pumpkin Patch ticket.
Animal encounters are available but must be scheduled. Princess and Superhero Sundays will be from noon to 2 p.m.
Weekdays are for scheduled field trips.
Barnhill Preserve has a new picnic pavilion with outdoor restrooms provided.
Founded in 2013, Barn Hill Preserve works to educate, entertain and inspire communities using animal ambassadors.

The East Feliciana Democratic Parish Executive Committee will host a candidates forum beginning at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 13 at the Jackson Civic Center on La. 10 in Jackson.
Although DPEC met and voted to endorse all Democratic candidates running for statewide and parish seats, the forum will feature candidates of other political affiliations opposing the Democrats running for East Feliciana sheriff, clerk of court, police juror and state representative, District 62.

Patients of the late Dr. Michael A. DeJohn, of either the Baker or the Clinton office, can retrieve their medical files at 11315 Liberty St. in Clinton, across from the courthouse. Medical records only can be retrieved by appointment between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. weekdays Monday through Friday.

Walk for the Cure
In observance of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Rev. Cary Payton Jr. at Visions Family Worship Center in Jackson invites East Feliciana Parish residents to participate in the Walk for the Cure beginning at 10 a.m. Oct. 24.
Participants will leave from the church on Charter Street in Jackson and end at Centenary State Historic Site, 3522 College St.
Free food, drinks and giveaways will be featured following the walk.
