East Feliciana Parish Clerk of Court
Gwen Collins-Greenup, 36, a Democrat from Clinton, has announced her candidacy for East Feliciana Parish clerk of court.
A graduate of Clinton High School, Liberty University and Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, Collins-Greenup has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting, a Master of Divinity in professional ministries and is certified as a paralegal.
She has 17 years’ experience as a notary public, 15 years as a title insurance producer and is a former commercial and residential land abstractor. She previously served as director of the criminal and traffic division at Baton Rouge City Court, deputy clerk for the East Feliciana Parish Clerk of Court and as a legal secretary with the Louisiana Department of Labor.
She is married to Tarries Greenup and has three children.
Collins-Greenup is founder and vice president of Leap 2 Success; founder and director of women’s and youth ministries for Lifeline Connection Ministries; a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Norwood, where she is president of the Women’s Auxiliary; a youth vacation bible school teacher at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Clinton; and a youth teacher for the Women’s Society of the Amite River Baptist Association in Louisiana and Mississippi.
“I’m committed and eager to use all that I’ve learned and experienced to serve you as East Feliciana Parish’s clerk of court,” Collins-Greenup said. “With a commitment to public service and with proven experience, I have the ability to produce immediate results from day one, beginning with my seven-point strategic plan.”
