The East Feliciana Council on Aging hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for senior citizens in the parish Nov. 21.

“We very much appreciate the women and youth of Feliciana Baptist Church in Clinton for preparing and serving a wonderful Thanksgiving meal,” Brenda Gardner, Council on Aging director, said.

Forty-two senior citizens from East Feliciana communities were treated to a meal of turkey; dressing; green beans; sweet potato casserole; cheesy potatoes; corn salad; apple, pecan and lemon pies; bread pudding; and dinner rolls, Gardner said.

The East Feliciana Council on Aging serves seniors by hosting daily activities and meals and by offering several programs that assist with financial and transportation related matters.
