The 51st Jackson Assembly Antiques and Art Show was April 1-3, attracting hundreds of visitors to downtown Jackson.
Among the highlights of this year’s event was a tour of Lane Plantation, self-guided tours of the original 1816 Feliciana Courthouse, Centenary State Historic Site and several historic churches.
Regional artists had their work on display as well as many antique dealers, who offered an eclectic variety of treasures for sale. Native plants and herbs also were available for purchase, and visitors were treated to seafood gumbo and sweets prepared and served by volunteers in the Gumbo Kitchen.
The Jackson Assembly is a nonprofit that hosts the annual Antiques and Art Show and Sale by the same name to raise funds for historic preservation projects in Jackson.
