Despite cold temperatures, hundreds of paradegoers flocked to downtown Clinton for the 11th annual Feliciana Family & Friends Mardi Gras parade Saturday.

“A Reflection of the Times” was this year’s theme, and ATVs, buses, cars, floats, trucks, horses and the East Feliciana High Marching Tigers band participated, throwing everything from beads, candy and cups to plastic cigars and tomahawks.

The Mardi Gras parade’s king and queen were Superintendent Carlos Sam and Tracey Travis, wife of Tim Travis, of Ethel.

Judges selected the following entries as parade winners: Queen’s Car with Tracey Travis, best car; Down South Mudslingers, best ATV group; 20-Karat Ladies Social Club, of Zachary, best truck; Sanpaku, of Hahnville, best float; Empire Riders, of Ethel, best horse group; East Feliciana Marching Tigers, best marching group; and Little KD, best dancers.
