Saddle up and head to Cowboy Night from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the West Feliciana Parish Library, 5114 Burnett Road, St. Francisville.
A Celebration of Literature and Art hosts the event, which celebrates singers, songwriters, poets and storytellers of the Old West. Light refreshments will be served.
Walk through the past
The Audubon State Historic Site in St. Francisville will hold a Locust Grove Cemetery Tour from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Guests will learn about people buried at the cemetery and may attend a class on gravestone rendering.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner
Stop by the Jackson Civic Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday to support Boy Scout Troop 51 while saving yourself the trouble of cooking dinner.
The troop will be holding a chicken dinner fundraiser for $8 per plate. Each plate will include half of a chicken, beans, a roll and cake.
Celebrate Earth Day
Port Hudson State Historic Site in Jackson will celebrate Earth Day with a nature hike at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Join a ranger to tour environmentally signification locations in the park. Each guest will receive a worksheet and, upon completing the trail and worksheet, will be awarded a Port Hudson State Historic Site Nature Patch. Participants should wear appropriate clothing and shoes and bring water. Dogs on a leash are welcome.

Spring rodeo time
The Angola Prison Spring Rodeo and Craft Show will take place at the prison on Saturday and Sunday. Gates will open at 9 a.m., and the rodeo starts at 2 p.m.
