Edwin Alexander, a senior football player from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Hammond, received his honorary game jersey Nov. 12 at the American Family Insurance Selection Tour for the 2016 Under Armour All-America Football Game.
More than 90 players from across the country will compete in the ninth annual game, a nationally televised competition spotlighting the country’s top high school seniors.
The game will be played Jan. 2 at the Orlando Citrus Bowl and will be televised live on ESPN2 at 11 a.m.
“I’m looking forward to competing and getting better,” Alexander said. “I’m also looking forward to meeting some of the coaches who were great NFL players.”
