ALBANY-SPRINGFIELD: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 18.

Bring tax documents such as W-2s, 1099s and information for deductions and credits along with a copy of last year’s tax return and a Social Security card for yourself, a spouse and dependents. You also may bring proof of a bank account for direct deposit. Volunteers will prepare most simple returns.

Live Oak cheerleaders win big

The Live Oak High School cheerleaders are celebrating a big win over the weekend at National High School Cheerleading and Dance Team Championships at Walt Disney World Resort.

The Live Oak team was named the Medium Varsity Division I winner.

The team also won the super large game day contest.

How money works

A representative from Primerica will guide people ages 18 and older through the basics of financial planning, budgeting, saving and investing at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Denham Springs-Walker Branch of Livingston Parish Library. Interactive movie for teens

“The Princess Bride” is the featured interactive movie adventure for ages 12 to 18 at the Main Branch of Livingston Parish Library at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
