Taylor Prudhomme, a graduate of Springfield High School, recently received a Stamps Leadership Scholarship to attend LSU in the fall.

The scholarship is available to entering freshmen at LSU, providing a full cost of attendance for four years, a news release said. The award also offers up to $14,000 in enrichment funds, which can be used for unpaid internships, study abroad, Outward Bound experiences, undergraduate research, professional and academic conferences, and leadership training, according to a news release.

Recipients are chosen based on high school records and very high scores on college entrance exams. They compete for the award through an essay competition, faculty panel interview and interview with the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation.
