Walker man wins St. Jude Dream Home _lowres

Lonnie Dugas, of Walker, is the winner of the 2015 Baton Rouge St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway, a fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, according to a news release.

The single-family home, with an estimated value of $500,000, was built by Alvarez Construction and is located in the Carriagewood Estates subdivision in Baton Rouge. The approximately 3,500-square-foot home features four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a gourmet kitchen complete with stainless steel appliances, butler’s pantry and oversized work island.

For the past 25 years, St. Jude has given away more than 370 houses and raised more than $300 million through the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway campaign, the largest single-event fundraiser for the hospital.
