Professional dancer Javier Juarez performed at Livingston Parish libraries as part of a summer program.

Juarez brought his Get Fit and Learn To Dance class to the Albany-Springfield branch of the Livingston Parish Library on June 17 and to the Denham Springs Walker branch on June 18.

The library branches also hosted a dance workshop where Juarez taught ages 6 and up easy choreography and how to stay fit through dance.

Juarez’s performances and workshops are part of Livingston Parish Library’s 2015 Summer Reading Program supported by a grant from the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism in cooperation with the Louisiana State Arts Council, and as administered by the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge.
