The Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce cut the ribbon on its new building last month.
Business leaders, chamber members, the board of directors, stakeholders and public officials attended the event, according to a news release from the chamber.
“It’s an enormous undertaking and we couldn’t be prouder to represent the business community in the parish as a whole through this venture,” Chamber CEO April Wehrs said.“The grounds and the building are just beautiful and are a very welcoming and professional environment for business.”
The chamber represents businesses of all sizes, the release said.
“This has been part of the chamber strategic plan and to see it come to fruition is very rewarding,” Wehrs said.
“I have been involved three years now and am proud to be on the board of directors of this great organization,” said chamber Chairman Wayne Dugas, of Lard Oil Co. “It’s a great day for businesses in Livingston Parish.”
