Members of Amite’s community recently volunteered and donated money to Joyce Cunnigen’s male students.
The money was used to teach personal grooming practices to students, a news release said.
Travis Wesby Sr. and Carl Morris, of The Shoppe/Elite Styles, gave the young men free haircuts and demonstrated personal grooming practices.
God’s Storehouse manager Charlotte James allowed the boys to shop for wardrobe and personal hygiene items.
Pharmacist Gerald Giardina, of Drive-In Drugstore, donated items and $25 to the students for a lesson in personal grooming.
