Five members of the Denham Springs High School Jacket Pride Bands will play with the Louisiana Youth Orchestras for the 2015-16 season.

Hannah Graham and Levi Thompson will play oboe and clarinet, respectively, in the Louisiana Youth Orchestra. Juan Cecchini, Tim Marquess and Jonas Truax will participate in both the Louisiana Junior Youth Orchestra and the Louisiana Youth Orchestra on French horn, percussion and trombone, respectively.

LYO is made up of four ensembles with participants from Baton Rouge and the surrounding parishes in the metro area. The program serves students ranging in age from 5 to 21 and helps to supplement and enhance music education received in schools and private lessons with orchestral performance opportunities.

LYO is the educational component of the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra and a project of the Baton Rouge Symphony League.

The first concert is at 7 p.m. Nov. 9 at the River Center Theatre and will feature the four ensembles and the winner of the LYO Concerto Competition. Tickets are $5 for adults and free for children under 12 and can be purchased through the BRSO Box Office at (225) 383-0500, ext. 100.
