Denham’s annual antique festival is Saturday _lowres

The Denham Springs Antique Village Fall Festival kicks off at 9 a.m. Saturday with arts and crafts, children’s activities, rides and games, live stage entertainment and festival foods for all tastes.

The festival, held in the Denham Springs Antique District, hosts more than 150 local and regional artists and craftsmen offering everything from furniture to collectibles, a news release said.

Booths will feature folk art, rugs, jewelry, glass, textiles, pottery, garden and architectural antiques.

In addition, an assortment of other items such as children’s handcrafted clothes, purses, hats, as well as collegiate-wear featuring the Saints, LSU and Southern University will be for sale.

Other festival attractions include free carnival rides courtesy of the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Department and children’s games and activities.

In Train Station Park, Odyssey Dance, Big River Express and Soul Salvage Project will perform and the Centerville Stage will feature Jim and James Linden Hogg, West Bound Train and Flash Drive.

The event is produced by the Denham Springs Antique Village Merchants Association and its partner, Pelican State Credit Union.

The festival is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
