During National Library Week, celebrated April 10-16, Livingston Parish Library asked patrons at all five branches: “How has your library transformed you?”

Crafts, events and prizes for adults, children and teens were highlighted during the week’s activities, under the theme “Libraries Transform.”

“Livingston Parish Library looks forward to celebrating National Library Week annually, to reflect on the importance of libraries in communities, and to allow our patrons to share the ways in which libraries have impacted their lives,” Sarah Colombo, head of Adult Services, said.

National Library Week, an annual recognition of libraries, librarians and library workers nationwide, first was sponsored in 1958 by the American Library Association.
