  • BREAKFAST WITH SANTA: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Denham Springs High Cafeteria, 1000 N. Range Ave., Denham Springs. Cost is $20 for ages 3-13. ($5 discount for siblings only.) Children need to provide their own bag lunch. JADD will provide breakfast, snacks and craft supplies.
  • MUSIC IN THE VILLAGE: 10 a.m., Denham Springs Antique and Arts Village, North Range Avenue, Denham Springs. Come enjoy Christmas carols while you shop. Ten music stop locations throughout the village.
  • MAKE A THEREMIN WITH ARDUINO: 10 a.m., Denham Springs-Walker Branch Library. Come to the library to learn basic computer programming and circuitry with Arduino. Learn how to make music with Arduino, including playing scales and making a Theremin.
  • CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE PLANTATION STYLE: 1 p.m., Carter House in Carter Plantation, 30325 Carter Cemetery Road, Springfield. Rooms will be decorated in holiday décor from past and present, and Santa should be there for good girls and boys. Tickets sold at the door cost $5 per person or $10 per family and sold tickets will be entered in a drawing for a door prize.
  • STAR WARS — A NEW PROGRAM: 1 p.m., Main Branch Library. Play giant Star Wars Trivial Pursuit, create Star Wars stencil art and eat Star Wars snacks.
  • SCIENCE SATURDAY: 2 p.m., Watson Branch Library.
  • WALKER CHRISTMAS PARADE: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Walker High School, 12646 Burgess Ave., Walker. Parade route starts at Walker High School, travels down Burgess Avenue, then left onto La. 447 North toward Ball Park Road, then to Sidney Hutchinson Park where the parade will end. There will be “Santa in the Park” and the tree lighting.
