The Ponchatoula Lions Club hosted the Tangipahoa Parish 4-H Egg, Poultry and Bento Cookery and Ambassador Competition on Jan. 26.

The Y-Knots Square Dance Club, of Hammond, provided entertainment while the dishes were judged.

Overall winners were:

EGG COOKERY: Jordan Mazzeno, Ponchatoula Junior High, appetizer/salad; Rebekah Pesson, Trafton Academy, dessert; and Irma Hyde, St. Joseph Catholic, main dish.

EGG AMBASSADOR: Abby Allen, Martha Vineyard Elementary.

POULTRY COOKERY: Sophia Hanna, Ponchatoula Junior High, other poultry products; Sierra Cusick, Loranger High, processed poultry; and Garrett Sanders, Hammond Eastside Elementary, chicken.

CHICKEN AMBASSADOR: Cassie Hanno, Ponchatoula High.

BENTO COOKERY: Lauren Williams, Oaks Montessori.
