The members of the Albany Volunteers for Family and Community are planning a garage sale to raise money to fund several community service projects.

The Livingston Volunteers for Family and Community program has more than 75 members taking part in four clubs — Albany Club, Can Do’s Club, Ladybugs Club and Port Vincent Club.

The groups meet monthly and conduct educational service projects in Livingston Parish. The groups’ mission is to strengthen individuals, families and communities through education, leadership and action, a news release said.

The garage sale is from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the home of Pam Nevle, 29969 Amvets Road, Albany. For information, call Nevle at (504) 495-9713.

The money raised will help fund community service projects such as the Baby Shower for the Family Resource Center; Teddy Bear Project for the Livingston Police Department; school supply drive; Adopt-a-Family at Christmas; Cancer Services donation; and Raise a Reader Bags for the health unit.
